Kris Lemsalu in Düsseldorf and Berlin
Kris Lemsalu’s work is on view at the group show “Metamorphosis” curated by the art historian Zdenek Felix. An exploration of the theme of the transformation of bodies, forms, ideas, and substances, the exhibition is a collaboration between Galerie Guido W. Baudach (Berlin), SVIT (Prague), and Arthena Foundation’s KAI 10 (Düsseldorf). KAI 10 is also hosting the inaugural exhibition of the series with an opening on March 3, 2017. Artists exhibiting at “Metamorphosis” include Habima Fuchs (CZ), Thomas Helbig (DE), Renaud Jerez (FR), and Mary-Audrey Ramirez (LU).

Merike Estna in Cheltenham
The Hardwick gallery of the University of Gloucestershire is opening a group show by the artists Merike Estna and Keef Winter (GB). Titled “On Becoming Fluid”, the exhibition deals with painting in the expanded field. Both of the artists’ works are specific to the site and have been commissioned specifically for the exhibition. As part of the opening night events for the exhibition, Merike will be presenting her signature painting-inspired cocktails.

Laura Põld in Düsseldorf
Laura Põld is concluding her residency in Düsseldorf with an open studio exhibition “So small it could be mine”, which also anticipates the artist’s upcoming exhibition “Intra-structures – Monster of the Seven Lakes” at Treignac Project. The subject matter of Ateliers Höherweg e.V. exhibition has been inspired by the later autobiographical writings and paintings of the Finnish novelist Tove Jansson.

Call for Applications: Curatorial Program for Research (CPR)
Curatorial Program for Research (CPR) has announced an open call for its upcoming curators’ residency. 8 selected participants will join an immersive program to discover the contemporary art scenes in Estonia, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. CPR’s fifth fully-funded research program will take place from September 24 to October 18, 2017, and applications are open until March 15, 2017.
